Two marks questions:


1.How can you say that the village lad was brave?
Ans: The village lad fought with a tiger while returning home by the jungle path. He stayed on the tree for
half a day till someone came and killed the tiger.


2. Why did Swami’s father want him to sleep alone in the office room?
Ans: Swami’s father wanted him to sleep alone in the office room to prove his courage. He wanted him to
learn not to be afraid of darkness.


3. The inspector suggests Swami to join the police department when he grew up. Why?
Ans: Swami had caught the most notorious burglar which the police couldn’t do. The inspector thought
that Swami was really a brave boy. So, he invited him to join the police.


4. How did Swami’s father defend his view on the news paper report?
Ans: Swami’s father defended his view by saying that courage was important. Strength and age were not
important. Even a weak man could fight if he had courage.


5. Why were congratulations showered on Swami? OR How was burglar caught?
Ans: In his fright Swami had bitten the burglar thinking him to be devil. The burglar’s cry made Swami’s
father and others to come there and caught him. Later the police arrested him.

Ans: Newspaper carried a report about a village boy who fought with a tiger. Swami argued that boy could
not fight a tiger. He had to be a strong grown up person. His father disagreed saying that courage was
more important. Swami did not accept this. His father then challenged him to sleep alone in the office
room. While Swami was sleeping alone in the office room, he saw something moving in the room. In his
fright, he had bitten the burglar thinking him to be devil. His loud cry made others to come there. The
burglar was caught. Later he was arrested. Congratulations were showered on Swami.
3. Narrate Swami’s dreadful experience when he was lying under the bench.
Ans: Swami was racked with nightmares. A tiger was chasing him. He tried to escape, but he couldn’t.
He groaned in despair. Then he heard a rustling sound. When he saw something was moving in the
darkness, he felt that it was the devil it would attack him. In his fright, he had bitten it to save himself.
4. How was Swami appreciated for his heroic deed ?

Ans : Baleshwar found Roma by the side of the tracks. She was unconscious. So he carried her in his arms
and walked towards the high way. He requested motorists to help him to take her to hospital.But none
could stopped. Finally, a tempo truck driver stopped and helped him to take her to the hospital nearby. As
this hospital did not have enough facilities, he drove them to a bigger hospital. On the way he lent his
phone to Baleshwar to call Roma’s brother. Both of them admitted her to the hospital in time. She cured
after a few days.

Ans: Roma Talreja was a B.Com graduate from Pune. She was working in Mumbai as a call centre
executive. She had been working there for two years. Baleshwar Mishra was an unemployed high school

Ans: Don Anselmo lived up in Rio en Medio. He tilled the same land his ancestors had tilled. He planted
a tree every time a Child was born in the village. He felt that they didnot belong to him but to the
children. He did not sell the trees when he sold the land to the Americans.
2.. Why do you think the Americans wanted to buy Don Anselmo’s property?
Ans : The little creek ran through his land. His orchard was gnarled and beautiful. So, to lead a happy and
peaceful life they buy his land.

Ans: Dr. Ambedkar had a great skill in the field of law and legislation. He had the vision of social justice.
Above all he had succeeded in his own campaigns against social injustice.
3.How did Dr.Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi try to wipe out caste discrimination from India?
Ans: Gandhiji reminded the higher castes of their duty towards the depressed classes. Ambedkar did the

and run. He would play the sitar and perhaps would be a great sitarist one day.

Ans: Smita planned to request Pandit Ravishankar to play for her brother. After the concert Smita went up

2) ಕೋಮುವಾದ ದೇಶದ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಮಾರಕ. ಹೇಗೆ?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಭಾರತವು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕೋಮುವಾದವು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಭಿನ್ನತೆ, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಯದ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇದು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಂಪುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವೈಷಮ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪೈಪೋಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಭಾರತದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೋಮುವಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಏಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಭಂಗ ಪಡಿಸುವ ಅಪಾಯ ತಂದೊಡ್ಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅದು ಸಮಾಜದ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುವ ದಲ್ಲದೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಜೀವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವತ್ತುಗಳ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮತಿಯವಾದ ಗುಂಪುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆ ದೈಹಿಕ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅನಗತ್ಯ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
 
3) ಕೋಮುವಾದವನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಯಾವುವು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಕೋಮುವಾದವನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ.
ಏಕರೂಪ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಸಂಹಿತೆ.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಗರಿಕರನ್ನು ಸಮಾನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣುವಿಕೆ.
ಜಾತ್ಯಾತೀತ ಮನೋಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಎಲ್ಲ ರಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ.
ಸಂಕುಚಿತ ವಿಭಾಗಿಯ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮೇಲುಸ್ಥರದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಿಂತನೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒತ್ತು.
ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕೋಮುವಾದವನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು.
4) ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳು ಯಾವುವು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಒಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವೇ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿನ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವುದು ಇದೆ.
ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿತ್ವ ಒಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ, ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ಪಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅಂತೆಯೇ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಭಾಷಾವಾರು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಜನಾಂಗೀಯ, ಅಥವಾ ವರ್ಣದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಗಿ ಸಾವು ನೋವು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿತ್ವ ಭಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಚಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ಯಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜವು ಭಯದ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ.
 
5) ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ನಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾರತವು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಾವುವು?
ಉತ್ತರ :
 ನಮ್ಮ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ಜನತೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸ್ತಿಪಾಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ಭೀತಿವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ಪರಿಣತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಶಾಂತಿಪ್ರಿಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ವೆನಿಸಿದ ನಾವು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಹೀಗೆ ಭಾರತವು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ನಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.
6) ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಉತ್ತಮಪಡಿಸಲು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪಡಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಲವಾರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮಪಡಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಇಲಾಖೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಶಕ್ತಿ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದೆ.
ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ವಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಲ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಬ್ಸಿಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಆಯೋಗವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
 
7) ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯ ಕಾರಣಗಳೇನು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಭೀತಿವಾದ ಅಥವಾ ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿತ್ವ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇದು ಒಂದು ಬಲಪ್ರಯೋಗದ ಒತ್ತಡದ ತಂತ್ರಗಾರಿಕೆ.
ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಅಥವಾ ಸೈದಾಂತಿಕ ನೆಲೆಗಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವತ್ತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪಾಯ ಹಾನಿಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿತ್ವ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ವೇದನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಭಯದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣಗಳು.
8) ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗವು ಭಾರತದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಏಕೆ?
ಉತ್ತರ : ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಭಾರತದ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ.
ಭಾರತ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಎಲ್ಲ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಒದಗಿಸುವುದು ಸವಾಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಿತಿಮೀರಿದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳು ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ.
ಕೃಷಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಧಿಕ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ.
ಗೃಹ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳ ನಾಶ.
ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಕೊರತೆ ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
 
9) ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಯಾವುವು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.

ಜನತೆಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿಕೆ.
ಸ್ವಯಂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಮೂಲ ಬಂಡವಾಳವನ್ನು ಸಾಲದ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡುವುದು.
ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಸಹಾಯಧನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವುದು.
ಇವೇ ಮುಂತಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
 
10) ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸಬಹುದು?
ಉತ್ತರ : ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಭಾರತ ಒಂದು ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿದೆ.
ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಲೋಕಪಾಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ನಂತಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನಾಯಕರುಗಳು ಕೂಡ ದಿಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬಹುದು.
ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಸಿ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ವೇಗವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು.
ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾದವರಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸುವುದು.
